Happy Home Ed Day

Our Happy Home Ed Day is a monthly, bookable provision for parents/carers who educate their children at home.

Our home ed sessions are facilitated by a qualified Animal Therapy Practitioner and explore various farming themes, giving hands on experience of animal care and an awareness of the Five Freedoms of Animal Welfare.

The sessions run monthly, on the 1st Monday of each month, from 1-3pm from our farm site.

Session structure (structure may vary):

1pm: Entry & safety briefing

Our delivery takes place on a secure site, gates open at 1pm and our facilitator will reinforce the site & session safety boundaries.

1.05pm: group activities

Depending on numbers, the group will be split into smaller subsections so that each activity is manageable, ensuring the welfare of our animals and providing the opportunity for children to take part in all aspects of animal care.

2pm: Refreshments

Hot & cold drinks provided, with snack items available.

2.10pm: group activities

Continuation of group activities.

3pm: Session closure
